Vision
A functional public administration, which makes use of new technologies such as AI to empower public servants in their ability to provide better services to citizens, helping, in the medium term, to solve the socioeconomic challenges facing today’s society. .
Mission
“AI4Gov Hub” will create an ecosystem (of professionals, researchers, companies, governments, innovators) that work with public administration to help transform their current way of working. Facilitating the introduction of new technologies such as AI and data management, governance and sharing, as well as a renewed way of understanding and facing complex public challenges: humanistic, systemic, focused on values.
The AI4Gov Master: Artificial Intelligence for public services
This one-year master’s program focuses on training functional specialists in the technology, service design, and policy aspects of AI – including hands-on work on real-world applications through case studies.
The master is co-funded by the European Union through the Connecting Europe Facility and offers 40 seats for individually selected participants coming from the public, private and third sector, at European and international level, who want to lead responsible AI projects within their organizations and contribute to the policy-making and regulatory development of AI in public services, in Europe and worldwide.
The programme is online with three in-person events during the year, and successful participants earn a joint Master Diploma from the UPM and POLIMI, equivalent to 60 ECTS.
